RUTLAND — Bylaw Committee backs floodplain proposal, tables Finance Committee bylaw review. The committee voted to accept a Conservation Commission floodplain-protection bylaw with three members in favor and Vice Chair Mike Pantos, Jr. abstaining, then forwarded it to town legal counsel. Chair Barbara Ruchala said the proposal contains ample detail and can be refined later if needed.
The committee voted to table the Finance Committee bylaw pending Chair Ruchala's meeting with Darren Ross regarding proposed revisions, while Vice Chair Pantos continues work on a draft bylaw guideline policy. The floodplain bylaw now heads to town legal counsel for review.
