Bylaw Committee outlines year of work and staffing need

RUTLAND — The Rutland Bylaw Committee met jointly with the Select Board to review its work program for the coming year. Chair Barbara Ruchala outlined pending projects including wetlands bylaw work from the Conservation Commission, stormwater bylaw efforts, Finance Committee bylaw change requests, and forthcoming flood plain bylaw revisions. The committee also discussed establishing a formal process document and checklist for the town website to handle official bylaw suggestions and proposals, including procedures for anonymous requests.

The committee expressed a desire to expand its membership from four to five members.
