Select Board approves warrants, pool payment clarification, and new policies
Select Board · Meeting of April 13, 2026
Rutland Select Board approves town meeting and election warrants with pool payment clarification. The board voted unanimously to amend the pool deck article to remove language suggesting the Recreation Department will pay full principal and interest, with Town Administrator Heather Butler noting that approximately $8,800 in annual investment interest from recreation funds could assist payments. The board also approved the PEG policy governing Cable Department recording standards and profanity review, approved a Federal Funding policy recommended by auditors, and voted 4-1 to install a street light on Main Street across from Spruce Hill Estates at $12 monthly, deferring the more costly Rutland Heights Way activation.
Board member Harry Sechman dissented on the Main Street light.
