Select Board · Meeting of January 20, 2026
RUTLAND — Select Board approves auto dealer license and utility pole installation, authorizes lease RFP. The board unanimously granted Vernon & Sons Auto Sales a Class II dealer license at 175 Barre Paxton Rd. and approved National Grid's installation of one JO pole on Ridge Road at Milo Way, after the DPW director endorsed the location. Town Administrator Heather Butler was directed to draft a Request for Proposal for the Historical Society's potential lease extension at the Franklin Wood House, with language mirrored from the Fire Brigade's existing lease.
The board also signed easement deeds for three accepted subdivision roads--Arrowhead Way, Pioneer Circle, and Woodside Avenue--and learned that Chief Water Operator Michael Nee has resigned.
