RUTLAND — Fourth of July Committee sets schedule for five summer events, with current reserves of $29,783.83. Chairman Ben Barakian led presentations from vendors including volleyball sponsors Tami and Doug Briggs (June 27), Junior Olympics coordinator Elise Milliken (ages 4-12, free entry), Lilac Hedge representative Ryan MacKay for a bonfire revival (vote on two-night format pending), pancake breakfast organizer Craig Fitzgerald at the Senior Center on July 4 ($10 suggested price), and road race director John Fitzgerald on July 28 ($15 kids, $25 adults). The committee is soliciting volunteers for the Easter Egg Hunt this Sunday and a town-wide yard sale with 20 registrants; the next meeting is April 1st.
