RUTLAND — The Fourth of July Committee approved the treasurer's report and authorized payment of a $3,700 fireworks deposit against total projected costs of $17,000. Chairman Ben Barakian oversaw the meeting, during which the committee assigned task responsibilities for parade band coordination, vendor applications, website updates, and volunteer logistics. A yard sale fundraiser drew 200 participants.
The committee will finalize the events schedule at its May 13 meeting, pending a safety review and town budget hearing. The committee holds a cash balance of $47,794.74.
