Select Board approves appointments, signs policy, budget transfers

Rutland Select Board approves appointments and policy revisions. Board members unanimously reappointed three Zoning Board of Appeals members and appointed one alternate. The board revised town line welcome signs policy to lottery-based assignment with priority to Rutland-based organizations and no automatic renewals.
Interdepartmental budget transfers totaling $23,616.82 were approved: $3,616.82 for Council on Aging Meals on Wheels donations and $20,000 for the CMRECC Dispatch Center payroll. One-day liquor licenses were approved for Rutland Sportsmen's Club concerts. Board members expressed reluctance to pursue another fiscal 2027 override election months after voters rejected the previous proposal, favoring instead a focus on fiscal 2028 planning.
