Select Board and Finance Committee approve Bay Path Regional budget without local assessment increase

Select Board · Meeting of March 12, 2026

RUTLAND — Select Board and Finance Committee sign off on Bay Path FY2027 budget without raising Rutland's assessment. Superintendent Kyle Brenner presented a level-funded operating budget of approximately $31 million, holding Rutland's portion at $1,044,000 with no increase over the minimum local contribution and no capital requests. The school will conduct staff layoffs to balance the budget.

Rutland's 34 allocated student seats remain capped due to facility maximum capacity; Bay Path offers special education services but does not receive state circuit breaker funding available to regional school districts.
