Rutland Select Board reorganizes after May 11 election. Sheila Dibb won a contested vote for Chair in a 3-2 tally after Harry Sechman's nomination failed 2-3; Alex Mowatt was unanimously elected Vice Chair and Leah Whiteman Clerk. The board appointed Treasurer/Collector Nick George as Tax Title Custodian through June 30, 2029, signed a $625,000 paving contract using Chapter 90 state funding, and ratified Town Moderator Randy Jordan's Finance Committee appointments of Briana Cwalinski and Darren Ross.
Town Administrator Heather Butler reported that a Dispatch Center grant of $113,390 will reduce FY2027 assessments for member towns.
