RUTLAND — Select Board approves three National Grid pole installations and calls Special Town Meeting. The Board unanimously approved utility petitions to install five JO poles across Pommogussett Road, Ware Road, and Main Street locations. The Board also unanimously voted to convene a Special Town Meeting on June 16 to address a Wachusett Regional School District assessment reduced by approximately $135,000 and a citizens' petition requesting $1,125,145 in Proposition 2.5 override funding for public safety and DPW.

The June 16 warrant will also include a Home Rule Petition article allowing Rutland Marketplace to pursue an all-alcoholic-beverages liquor license for year-round use.
