Historical Commission approves petition for vandalism mitigation campaign.

Historical Commission · Meeting of January 6, 2026

Rutland Historical Commission approves online petition for vandalism mitigation. The commission, meeting with Senator Durant and other guests, adopted a three-pronged approach: a mitigation plan, formal application for state registry status with legislative assistance, and increased community stewardship through paint days and town walks. Members unanimously approved Lindsay Maus to create the online petition and assigned outreach tasks to Michele Van Reet (Facebook), Peter Pasierb (media outreach), and Maus (website and flyers).

Three Save Our Structures information sessions are scheduled for January 24, 27, and a snow date of January 31 in the Blair Room.
