RDIC seeks Select Board input on revised commission charge

Rutland Development and Industrial Commission unanimously approved sending a revised draft of its charge to the Select Board after finding the five-member commission's current responsibilities unmanageable without staff support. In separate action, developers Laural Adams and Ron Koivu of Harbor Classic Homes, represented by attorney Peter Campbasso, requested relief from the original Harmony Place agreement requiring 88 units within three years by February 2026, citing National Grid delays from March 2023 through October 2024. The commission requested written documentation of the delays and Randy Jordan urged a financial compromise; members approved continued discussions with no formal vote on the extension recorded.
