RUTLAND — Events Committee approves Summer Send-Off event with multiple activities planned. Chair Jeanne Scigliano is coordinating Girl Scout performances (pending DJ availability), animal exhibits from Starlight Farms, a karate demonstration, and potential planting activities. The committee unanimously approved rentals for inflatables, sandbags, and an attendant, with provisions for refund or postponement if weather becomes unfavorable.
In other business, the committee advanced a Massachusetts Cultural Council grant report for FY26, with Scigliano assigned to submit it, and continued coordination of the 2026 concert series including food truck vendor outreach and band-payment scheduling. The committee will meet again August 5 and August 27.
