Conservation Commission unanimously approves administrative assistant position funded by wetland account.
Conservation Commission · Meeting of June 17, 2026
Rutland Conservation Commission approves $18,200 for administrative assistant hiring. The Commission unanimously authorized funds from the Wetland Protection Act account following town budget cuts that eliminated dedicated administrative support, with Chair Melissa Danza tasked with working with the Town Administrator on the hire. The Commission also unanimously approved an Order of Conditions for Cornerstone Bank's renovation at 91 Main Street and extended the Order of Conditions for 124 East County Road for three years.
Town boards were recently notified that no administrative support would be available in FY2027, prompting the Commission to tap its separate WPA funding source.
