Conservation Commission approves beaver dam removal permit; schedules Cornerstone Bank hearing continuation.

RUTLAND — Conservation Commission issues 30-day emergency permit for beaver dam removal. Glenn Kauppila of 126 Main St. sought authorization to breach blockages at his Pommogussett Rd. pasture after beavers returned despite a Board of Health removal permit; the Commission voted unanimously to grant the certification. In other business, the board voted unanimously to end Melissa Danza's term on July 31, 2026, and recommend David Klinch's appointment beginning August 1, and unanimously continued a public hearing on interior and exterior renovations at Cornerstone Bank, 91 Main St., to June 17 at 6:00 P.M.
The project includes removal of 1,000 square feet of pavement and replacement of 650 square feet to create green space.
