Planning Board green-lights zoning rewrite with stormwater focus in subdivisions.

Planning Board · Meeting of April 15, 2026

RUTLAND — Planning Board Bylaw Subcommittee authorizes zoning rewrite with stormwater focus in subdivisions. Chair Tim Nahrwold directed consultant Gabe Trevor of the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission to use remaining Local Planning Assistance hours to revise subdivision rules with stormwater management language before the June 2026 deadline. Trevor, participating by phone, has already consumed four of the available LPA hours reviewing draft subdivision rules; the revised rules will be submitted to the planning board for fall 2026 Town Meeting.

The committee voted 4-1 to approve prior meeting minutes and plans a follow-up in-person meeting with Trevor on May 20, 2026, to discuss resident outreach for stakeholder input.
