Finance Committee · Meeting of March 19, 2026
Rutland Finance Committee reviews WRSD FY27 budget with potential $500,000 assessment relief pending. Dr. James Reilly, Superintendent, presented a 7.5 percent increase to Rutland's assessment offset by a union health plan transition the district says could save the town approximately $500,000, pending final School Committee approval following legal review.
The committee approved prior meeting minutes and heard Town Administrator Heather Butler describe FY2027 budget cuts that will require Town Hall to operate Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with staff available by email, phone, or appointment on other days.
