Council on Aging addresses Senior Center repairs and plans expo assistance.

Council on Aging · Meeting of March 19, 2026

Rutland Council on Aging addresses Senior Center heating and facility oversight. Chair Karen Juliano and four council members heard from Director Nancy Nichols on an Alzheimer's program, an AARP walking initiative with rest stops, and ongoing outreach to Representative Jim McGovern for rural development support. Senior Center room repairs, particularly furnace and heating work, remain a priority.

The council confirmed that Juliano, Flaherty, Nichols, and a staff member will staff the council's table at the 3rd Annual Community Expo on March 22. Council members flagged a need for more frequent facility management checks across town buildings.
