Board approves well distance proposal at 54 Finn Park

Board of Health · Meeting of May 13, 2026

Rutland Board of Health approves well distance proposal at 54 Finn Park. The board voted 2-0 with 1 abstention to accept the proposed well location despite a cesspool within 50 feet of the proposed well, following state Department of Environmental Protection guidance confirming the board's authority. Health Agent Richard Stevens coordinated with the state DEP.

The approved location clears the way for the property to install a tight tank system and abandon the existing cesspool.
