Select Board · Meeting of March 30, 2026

Rutland Select Board approves health insurance rates and chief contracts, splits on FSA. The board unanimously backed the Insurance Advisory Committee's recommendation for FY27 employee health insurance rates despite limited carrier options and approved three-year renewals for Fire Chief Seth Knipe and Police Chief Nicholas Monaco. A motion to increase the town's FSA contribution from $300 to $500 per employee passed 3-2, with Mowatt, Leger, and Whiteman voting yes and Mattson and Sechman opposed.

The board also unanimously approved ballot language for three override questions covering FY27–FY29, reducing the first-year override ask from $3.1 million to $2.5 million pending a Wachusett Regional School District vote on its own assessment.
