RUTLAND — Planning Board Bylaws Subcommittee approves framework for stormwater regulation overhaul. Gabe Trevor of the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission presented a gap analysis identifying five broad categories of deficiencies in the town's current stormwater law, proposing new provisions for watershed and wetlands protections. Chair Tim Nahrwold approved next steps: a 30-day public notice begins after the June 9 or 23 planning meetings, with earliest passage in July.
The subcommittee will review redlined documents; Nahrwold will request a cost estimate from Sampson and Weston for reviewing the revised regulations; and Trevor will prepare a preliminary and definitive subdivision checklist. No formal votes on the regulations themselves were recorded.
