Library trustees approve March reports, outline 25th anniversary celebration

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of April 14, 2026

Rutland Library Board approves March reports and advances 25th anniversary planning. The Trustees unanimously accepted the secretary's, director's, and children's librarian's March reports, with librarian Aislinn Lewis noting high attendance at programs including Amazing Amphibians (over 100 people) and the Beatrix Potter Party. Director Kerry Remington reported good patron engagement throughout March.

The board approved a $57,000 capital allocation for carpet replacement pending town meeting warrant approval, and noted a $5,000 repair estimate for a rear light post. The June 14 anniversary celebration will feature community partners including Boy Scouts, a jazz band, and local churches, with fundraising sales of t-shirts, hoodies, and commemorative items.
