Library board approves policies, accepts staff reports from February meeting.

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of February 10, 2026

Rutland library trustees approve policies, lock in state-certified budget. The Board of Trustees unanimously accepted the secretary's, director's, and children's director's reports at the February 10 meeting and approved three policies: the meeting room policy, decertification policy, and updates to minimum staffing. Director Kerry Remington reported the library received $44,795.16 in FY 2027 funding, including a nearly $36,000 transfer from unused FY 2026 monies voted by the town in November, allowing the library to meet state certification requirements.

Assistant Librarian Susan Liimatainen gave notice of her resignation; current library staff are interested in applying for the position.
