Conservation Commission issues compliance certificates; approves tree removal and land-sale support

Rutland Conservation Commission issues two Certificates of Compliance and approves hazardous tree removal. The board unanimously closed original permits for 64 Woodside Avenue and 14 Grizzly Drive, ending decades-old administrative requirements. Chair Melissa Danza was authorized to draft a letter supporting the state's acquisition of 41 acres in Rutland along Barre Paxton Road as open space for Moore State Park.
The Commission also approved removal of flagged trees at Finn Park Road under strict conditions--stumps must remain and only hand tools may be used--and issued a Cease & Desist for driveway expansion within three feet of a wetland at 40 Prescott Street, directing staff to notify the state.
